BayCare is currently in search of our newest Pacemaker Tech who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. BayCare’s top priority is the health and well-being of our communities as Tampa Bay's leading multi-specialty group with more than 600 providers practicing 45 specialties in over 175 outpatient locations throughout the Tampa Bay and west central Florida regions.

The Pacemaker Tech is part of the overall health care team responsible for Cardiology related services.

Responsibilities:

May provide supervisory support and assistance to Management, as applicable.

Provides evaluation and device management to patients under the supervision of a physician. Educates patients and families regarding device function, clinic follow-up scheduling and device home monitoring.

Ensures correct billing and coding of device checks.

Identifies opportunities for enhanced workflow in the clinics in collaboration with management.

Assists with wound checks following implants.

Assists the physician and other health care professionals in related technical areas as needed. Functions without supervision and, may coordinate others, as applicable.

5 years of cardiac device manufacturer experience can substitute for Tech school.

Education:

• Required High School or Equivalent

• Technical in Arrthythmia

Required Experience:

• Required 3 years Cardiology
