New York University BITS SLP Assistant Researcher in United States

This is a part-time position to assist with an internally funded study of speech perception and production in the Biofeedback Intervention Technology for Speech (BITS) Lab, with a focus on measuring compensation for altered auditory feedback. The research assistant will be responsible for following a standard protocol to measure speech perception and production in children and adolescents with and without residual speech sound disorder. The research assistant will also contribute to equipment setup, testing, and breakdown, and to saving and quality checking of session audio recordings; they may also supervise student workers assisting with this process. In addition, the research assistant will contribute to post-processing and measurement of audio files resulting from experimental data collection, and check the validity of measures derived and entered in the study database.

Estimated 3-5 hours per week, with flexible scheduling

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly base salary range for this position is $27.50-28.25/hour. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
