University of Pennsylvania Assistant Professor, Tenure track, Department of Oral Medicine in United States

The Department of Oral Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine invites applications for full-time tenure track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level.

We are seeking candidates with strong academic accomplishments in bioinformatic sciences, cellular/molecular biology, virology, and neuroscience to complement a research focus within our department. The department’s research interests include stem cell biology related to neuroscience, inflammation, and virology and their impact on neurodegeneration and neurodevelopment. A strong track record of extramural grant funding, as well as an interest in teaching basic sciences to dental students are encouraged.

Applicants with a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, including dual degrees (DMD/DDS-PhD, MD-PhD, DVM-PhD, PharmD- PhD) will be considered. A strong track record of extramural grant funding and publications, as well as an interest in teaching basic sciences to dental students, are encouraged.

Applications should submit a curriculum vitae that includes previous and current research support and teaching experience, a statement of research plan, a statement of teaching philosophy, e-prints of three representative publications and contact information for at least three references.
