Join us as an CCUS Advisor in Energy Transition and you'll take a lead role in the delivery of CCUS and Net Zero advisory assignments across the full CCUS chain covering a range of technologies and industry sectors spanning the asset lifecycle.

You will

  • Take a lead role in delivery of policy advice to Government and industrial clients on various aspects of CCUS and Net Zero.

  • Materially contribute to technical advice, giving clarity on emergent issues and risks related to CCUS transport and storage systems and emitter projects within a new industry framework.

  • Support the ongoing technical and commercial engagements with the transport, storage and emitter sponsors leading to their award of Government support contracts.

  • Provide technical and commercial monitoring for the Low Carbon Contracts Company of the delivery of the various emitter projects awarded support contracts.

  • Lead and materially contribute to due diligence and critical assessment of CCUS and Net Zero projects.

  • Ensure assignments have due consideration of any applicable Health, Safety, Environmental or Quality Assurance requirements

  • Develop proposals that meet client’s needs and differentiate WSP from the competition

  • Demonstrable understanding and familiarity with the current UK CCUS Business Models for emitters and the transport and storage system.

  • Experience of providing technical advice to policy and corporate decision makers and being comfortable leading discussions and having the experience and ability to understand, evaluate and explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical professionals

  • Experience in due diligence and critical assessment of projects from a technical standpoint.

  • Have a good appreciation of the full CCUS chain design, commissioning, and operational considerations, covering carbon capture process, pipeline and non-pipeline transportation and the injection and sub-surface geology.

  • Have substantial experience and knowledge of carbon capture process and ancillary systems design, costs and performance, including capture plant, compression, and gas conditioning systems etc.

  • Excellent written and oral communication, client handling, interpersonal and listening skills with the ability to influence and interact with people at all levels within internal and external organisations
