SUNY Upstate Medical University Digital Pathology Programmer\Analyst in Syracuse, New York

Job Summary:

As a member of the Biomedical Informatics team, the Digital Pathology/Programmer Analysts will work collaboratively with the Biomedical and Imaging Informatics team and the department of pathology to support the digital pathology image management and image analysis systems and help support research and collaborative studies in digital pathology. These include, but are not limited to large clinical studies, in-depth analysis across several data types (images, annotations, and metadata), and AI-driven initiatives. The Programmer/Analysts will work with a team of pathologists, scientists, bioinformaticians, and IT personnel to ensure that our image datasets are well organized, accurate, and optimized to support collaborative research and the use of digital pathology for clinical diagnosis.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and three (3) years relevant experience or Associate's degree level and five (5) years related experience, plus strong analytical and interpersonal skills.

**Candidates who possess a Bachelor's degree or an Associate's degree and a minimum of four (2) years relevant experience may be considered for appointment to a lower level position at a commensurate salary.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related area. Relational Database experience with and strong SQL background. Programming and systems analysis experience developing and supporting web applications using JavaScript and relevant JavaScript libraries, .NET, or other modern web development frameworks. Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, C#, R, and Python for data analysis. Experience with database design and development in SQL Server or MYSQL.

Crystal Reports Experience is a plus.

Work Days:

Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
