GENERAL SUMMARY

Research, write, secure, plan, direct and supervise new and continuing grant funded programs. Directly supervise agency program directors and staff. Serve as the liaison in coordinating programs with other agencies, community groups and individuals. Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, federal and program regulations and accomplishment of program goals. Considerable initiative and use of independent judgment is expected in the performance of essential duties and responsibilities, with limited direction by the Chief Executive Officer. Work is reviewed through written reports and conferences for the ongoing achievement of agency and/or grant objectives.

 

*ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES     *

Complete research for potential grant funding available, suited for the low-income sector and that aligns with the agency mission.

 

Effectively develop, plan, compose, submit and secure grant funding for new and existing programs to assist residents.

 

Coordinate, with the CEO and CFO, the programmatic aspects of all programs or prospective programs operating under the authority of the agency.

 

Directly supervise program directors/coordinators and/or staff on a day-to-day basis.

 

Establish short and long-range goals for funding sources, enlisting support from members of agency staff and volunteer organizations.

 

Develop, evaluate, monitor and implement agency projects, objectives, program and agency policies and procedures as related to agency's overall operations.

 

Work closely with program directors to develop budgetary plans and ensure completion of required job duties, compliance with safety equipment, rules and regulations, and the accomplishment of program goals and objectives are obtained.

 

Conduct oneself in a professional and responsible manner at all times and in particular with regard to: maintaining confidentiality of agency operations and information; handling or addressing staff or client concerns, complaints or appeals with dignity while ensuring privacy of the client is maintained; and display of behavior in the community which might reflect adversely upon the agency.
