Location: Bemidji, Brainerd, Detroit Lakes, Duluth, Mankato, Marshall, Rochester, St. Paul or Waite Park This position exists to provide statewide leadership in surface and groundwater planning, program administration, and administrative procedures to water management organizations, watershed districts and counties involved in preparing and implementing comprehensive water management plans. Responsibilities of this position include: Administer state water laws, rules, and policies relating to watershed districts, watershed management organizations, counties, and soil and water conservation districts. Function as lead staff in groundwater program and policy, and interagency coordination. Represent the Board at public meetings and interagency teams. Present at public meetings and address inquiries concerning watershed management. Lead all matters related to hearings and appeals specific to the position. Provide technical assistance and training to other Agency staff.
