Tree Trust Program Coordinator - Community Forestry/Private Property in St. Paul, Minnesota

Job Summary: The Program Coordinator Community Forestry Private Property is integral to the success of Tree Trust s community forestry program. This position supports all aspects of Tree Trust s Community Forestry programming including volunteer tree planting, outreach events and general care of trees with a special emphasis on the expansion, coordination, and management of Tree Trust s municipal tree sales and private property tree canopy enhancement programming. Coordinate Tree Trust s Municipal tree distribution program, including coordinating with partners, program administration, participant education and management, and distribution day facilitation. Coordinate Tree Trust s private property tree planting program, including interfacing and coordinating with property owners on species selection, location, post planting care and survivability surveys. Manage project budgets as assigned by the Director of Community Forestry. Increase the number of program partners in order to achieve Tree Trust s short and long term planting goals. Facilitate and evaluate projects and prepare reports for assigned projects. Train and manage volunteers for Community Forestry related tasks. Conduct educational workshops on urban forestry topics with various audiences. Participate in meetings and conferences representing Tree Trust. Perform general vegetation and tree care management. Tasks include planting, watering, mulch management, weeding and pruning.
