Valero is looking for an Associate Cash Coordinator to join the Cash Disbursements & Reconciliations team at the Headquarters in San Antonio, Texas. This position is responsible for payment processing of wire transfers and processing of returned wire transfers for Valero’s Domestic and International operations. This role sets up and processes ACH, SEPA, BACS, and tax credit transactions and processes returned items for these credit transactions. This position develops and maintains various excel spreadsheets and records transactions in SAP. Responsible for the daily SAP Electronic Bank Statement Process (EBS) for Valero’s International and Domestic business and for performing a daily review of customer and vendor bank updates in SAP. The position prepares monthly reports and analyzes monthly bank service charges to assist with month end close. This role:

• Tests of all new company codes and accounts to ensure a smooth transition to SAP and bank production systems.
• Gathers daily Company-wide cash inflows and outflows to determine cash borrowing and investment needs via the Daily US Cash Worksheet and International Cash Worksheet(s).
• Reconciles with Forecasting and Investing to ensure that funds have been received and payments have been made as scheduled.
• Identifies wire transfer and ACH (NACHA, BACS and SEPA) returns and amendments, performs necessary research for correction in the SAP Vendor Master, and retransmission of electronic payments.
• Responsible for the daily input, approval and release of disbursements made via ACH, BACS, SEPA, and wire transfer.
• Enters vendor and customer bank wire transfer and/or ACH, BACS and SEPA bank instructions in SAP.
• Responsible for the daily input, approval and release of disbursements, to include payroll, made via ACH, BACS, SEPA and wire transfer.
• Responsible for the timely and accurate recording of wire and ACH interbank transfers processed through SAP, and other manual cash transactions.
• Responses to other departments' requests for information on wire, ACH, BACS, and SEPA payments.
• Primary back-up for the Cash Disbursements team.
• Back up for the periodic set up and daily initiation of electronic fund payments of tax ACH credits.
• Back-up for posting and monitoring ACH Debit and Direct Debit transactions.
• Performs special projects as required.

This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero Headquarters in San Antonio, Texas required.

Preferred skills, education, and experience:

• 5 years of professional level cash management or accounting experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in the refining industry operations environment preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
