Surgical Director Lung Transplantation, University of Utah

The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery within the Department of Surgery at the University of Utah School of Medicine is actively recruiting for a Surgical Director of the Lung Transplant Program, dedicated Thoracic Surgeon at the rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor (either the Clinical or Tenure Track) to lead our Section of General Thoracic Surgery. Candidates will be Board-Certified by the ABTS and will join 3 other surgeons in the Section to augment our General Thoracic Surgery program. The position requires functioning as an Attending Surgeon at the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics, The Salt Lake Veteran’s Administration Health Care System, and the Huntsman Cancer Institute. A demonstrable record and desire to pursue clinical, basic, and/or translational research is required. In addition, the applicant will be expected to participate actively in the teaching of Thoracic Surgery residents.
