University of Rochester Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is seeking an Inpatient/Outpatient Rehab Psychologist with Neuropsychology specialization.

We continue to track on a rapid faculty and programmatic growth curve supported by an approved newly renovated 11 private bed acute inpatient subspecialty brain injury rehabilitation unit opening in 2023. The psychologist would be integrated into the interdisciplinary team and would perform consult liaison services.

The position would primarily be working with our inpatient population in conjunction with our newly developed outpatient psychology clinic, which has an emphasis on psychological intervention for individuals adapting to illness, injury, and/or disability. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the integration of psychological services in an inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation setting. Referrals come from physiatrists who specialize in common rehab diagnosis including SCI, BI, orthopedic injuries, neurologic disorders and complex pain.

This role carries ample opportunity to pursue academic scholarly activity and interests. This consists of supporting the education mission consisting of teaching and mentoring fellows, residents and medical students as well as the support to pursue research interests, interfacing collaboratively with the Dept. of PM&R UR Neurorestoration Institute as well as with the Dept. of Neurology/Neurosurgery Del Monte Neuroscience Institute. This position comes with a faculty appointment at the University of Rochester School of Medicine.

The ideal candidate would have completed a doctorate in clinical psychology and pre or post doctorate training in the health care setting, preferably with specialization in rehab or neuro psychology.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $170,416 - $346,177 Annually

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
