University of Pennsylvania Research Assistant Professor Position, Infectious Diseases Division in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure research track. Expertise is required in the specific area of development and applications of novel mRNA platform technology. Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D degree.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include the use of basic research techniques to develop novel delivery systems for targeting mRNA to the lung. The candidate will have opportunities to collaborate with current research faculty. Candidates should have evidence of productivity in scientific journals. The selected candidate will be expected to present research findings at peer academic institutions as well as national and international scientific meetings. Qualified individuals will exhibit creativity in the application of cutting-edge techniques and approaches to advance their scientific progress. The selected candidate will be expected to secure and maintain funding from external sources.
