Description Robert Half is seeking skilled candidates for a Financial Analyst position at a thriving company in the Internet Service Provider industry. Candidates who want to become a key partner in forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management will be interested in this opening for a Financial Analyst. This person will conduct financial modeling on various financial products as well as measure, analyze and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. This position's duties will also include advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management. This Financial Analyst role, which is a long-term contract / contract employment opportunity, is based in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, area.

Major responsibilities

• Power monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required

• Discover the root causes of internal and external facts that are influencing performance and outcomes

• Work with the Accounting group to lead the monthly and quarterly close process

• Function next to senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

• Support contacts in Accounting and Operations to execute business plans

• Gather and oversee forecasting reports

• Create effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and recommendation support

• Review annual performance by comparing actual results to their expectations

• Authenticate routine Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting

• Assess potential risks and opportunities and research performance

• Ideal candidate would have an adaptable nature and experience dealing with vast amounts of information while exceeding expectations Requirements - Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations

• Excellent verbal, written, and social skills

• Go-to-market experience or experience

• Prior knowledge in Spreadsheet and ERP system

• Practical knowledge in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

• Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively

• Analytics experience

• Well-founded grasp of Budget Processes

• Strong familiarity with Communication Skills

• Journal entries experience required

• Expertise in reporting

• Practical knowledge of Review

• Wide ranging experience with Microsoft Outlook

• Hands-on experience with Closing Processes

• Experience with Oracle

• Quality experience with Database

• Deep understanding of Microsoft Excel

• Solid understanding of financial reporting

• Experience with Perform Ad Hoc Financial

• Previous experience working with Workstation Support

• Prior experience with networks

• Communication experience

• Good understanding of finance

• Skills in auditing

• General familiarity with Microsoft Word

• Earlier work involving About Time

• Experience with Payment Processing

• Proven knowledge of research

• Solid understanding of Financial Statement

• Foundational knowledge in SQL

• Comprehension of Quarterly

• BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

• Understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required
