Position Description

The University of Mississippi- The Department of Philosophy and Religion invites applicants for a Visiting Assistant Professor beginning August 2024.

The University of Mississippi is a Carnegie R1 very high research activity institution, and the Department offers an MA, a BA, and several minors. Position Details

Minimum Qualifications

A successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Philosophy or in Religious Studies with a specialty in Bioethics/Biomedical Ethics. The Ph.D. must be in hand by August 2024. The teaching load is 3/3. The successful candidate will be able to teach a combination of Bioethics/Biomedical Ethics as well as lower- and upper-division courses in their area. The ability to teach other courses cross listed in both Philosophy and Religion is a plus.
