SUNY Oneonta Student Experience Coordinator in Oneonta, New York

The Office of Student Experience at the State University of New York at Oneonta invites applications for the position of Student Experience Coordinator. Expectations include, but are not limited to, serving as university point person for families of all students, offer support and networking opportunities for adult learners, and provide one-on-one support for at-promise students. The Office of Student Experience is dedicated to nurturing a welcoming and supportive campus community that empowers both new and returning students, fostering their success and commitment to academic pursuits. The office offers a wide array of resources for students including one-on-one mentoring, programming, and individualized outreach. Duties include but are not limited to: Plan and implement specific outreach programming for special populations including but not limited to veterans, adult learners, students at risk/at promise, and families of current SUNY Oneonta students. Create and maintain veteran focused support services including a belonging campaign, success coaching, and identifying campus partners necessary to assist in the transition to college. Determine the needs of adult learners and plan support accordingly. Collaborate with campus partners to facilitate a 'nudge' campaign for students identified as at risk for attrition. Serve as a member of the Families@Oneonta connection team to enhance the family portal. Coordinate engagement and networking opportunities for families during the academic year Collaborate with the Office of Student Experience team on programs and initiatives. Represent the office at various evening/weekend events. Serve on university committees as appropriate. Salary: $47,261 commensurate with experience. Requirements:Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree One year of experience working in a college setting in a peer mentor type or professional mentor-type of role and/or training that includes one or more of these areas: peer mentoring, professional mentoring, campus activities, or family engagement in a higher education setting. Demonstrated experience in program development, implementation and evaluation. Experience with successfully working in a customer service setting. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated use of technology Preferred: Master's Degree at the time of start (or within 6 credits from completion) in higher education, student affairs or related field. Experience working directly with veteran, adult learners and/or at-risk students in a student-centered office in a higher education setting. Demonstrated ability to adapt to a changing environment and ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience working with and serving diverse populations.

Minimum Salary: 47,261 Maximum Salary: 47,261 Salary Unit: Yearly
