Advertised Summary Job Description The Institute for Genomic Medicine (IGM) is searching for a Technician B. S/he will employ next generation sequencing (NGS) technology in support of various biological and precision medicine programs in clinical as well as research setting.
The Technician B will:
-Prepare a variety of NGS libraries and performs sequencing on NovaSeq, MiSeq and other sequencing platforms acquired from time to time;
-Perform various microarray genotyping assays and Taqman;
-Extract DNA/RNA from variety of biospecimens such as whole blood, serum, buckle swab, saliva and tissue samples;
-Adheres to QA/QC policies and procedures required in a clinical sequencing lab;
-Performs routine laboratory activities including ordering supplies, maintaining inventories, preparing reagents, and up-keeping instruments;
-Performs any other assignments deemed necessary by the lab Manager/Facility Director.
Minimum Qualifications for Grade
