WSP USA Senior Coordinator, Subcontracts Buyer in New York, New York

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Subcontracts Buyer for our One Penn Plaza office. The following locations will also be considered: any other major WSP office in Eastern, US. Be involved in projects with our Subcontracts Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact

  • Prepare and issue subcontract purchase orders to suppliers and subcontractors and conduct.

  • Manage purchase orders and modifications of varying dollar value, risk, creativity and complexity for services and commodities for offices assigned by supervisor to ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures and good business practices

  • Provide guidance to internal clients regarding requisitions

  • Prepare Purchase Orders and Change Orders in ERP system for each individual subcontract or purchase order

  • Interface with IT, insurance, tax, health and safety and other applicable departments as required

  • Work on several projects simultaneously with ability to prioritize to ensure all deadlines are met and maximize impact and results. Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding project/task progress.

  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.Perform additional duties, as applicable.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business-related field preferred

  • 5+ years of related experience

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

  • Highly motivated to execute on projects/tasks as well as learn and build new skills.

  • Enthusiastic team player with proactive attitude.

  • Detail oriented, highly organized, possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills, strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, and collaborate with team members and solve problems in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline driven environment.

  • Proficient in MS Office 365, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat.

  • Experience with ERP systems a plus

Compensation and Benefits:

WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.

Expected Salary: $47,500- $81,510.00
