Advertised Summary Job Description The Program Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support for the Office of Student Activities/P&S Club and is also charged with creating a welcoming and responsive office culture dedicated to the highest level of customer service. Reporting to the Director, the Program Assistant will assist with various projects supporting the student experience at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
-Manage all components of office reception, including assisting visitors, responding to various requests via phone, email or in-person;
-Oversee the management of office supplies, equipment, and facilities requests for the office;
-Execute all accounts payable and purchasing transactions, inclusive of travel/business expense reports, check requests, purchase orders, interdepartmental invoices, journal entries, and requisitions;
-Work under the direction of the Senior Finance Manager to obtain necessary approvals for purchase orders and contracts, as well as review and resolve items returned for correction by central administrative and financial offices;
-Assist with the Director with all events, including Orientation, Annual Club Fair, Club Leadership Training, Leonides and Super Night;
-Assist with room management assignments;
-Management campus display;
-Other duties as assigned.
This is a 20 hour/week position with an anticipated schedule of 9am-3pm, four days a week.
Minimum Qualifications for Grade
Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, training and experience.

Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant -Outstanding oral communication, written communication, and interpersonal skills;
-Must be able to work under minimal supervision and to set priorities;
-Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining a strong attention to accuracy and detail;
-Must demonstrate the ability to work with financial systems as well as have a strong knowledge of MS Office.
