Advertised Summary Job Description The Department of Neurology is seeking to recruit an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide medical care to patients under the direction of Laura Lennihan, MD, Chief of Neurology Inpatient Service. This is a full-time position which includes admitting patients, preparing patients for discharge, making daily rounds, ordering diagnostic tests and treatments, talking to patients and families, calling and conferring with consultants, writing admission and discharge notes and daily notes, and participating in clinical research protocols related to patient care, all under the supervision of an attending neurologist.
Other duties as assigned/required.
Minimum Qualifications for Grade
Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant Requires Master's degree plus five years of nursing experience in addition to a current New York State NP and RN license. Recent NP graduates are welcome to apply.
Additional Position-Specific Minimum Qualifications
Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant Must be able to meet credentialing requirements.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in critical care, emergency department care, and/or inpatient neurology care.
