New York University Modified Full Time Faculty Position | Oral Medicine / Special Needs Dentistry in New York, New York

NYU College of Dentistry is seeking applications for a modified full time clinical position at the level of Instructor or Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology, Radiology & Medicine.

Responsibilities include patient care in a new state of the art facility, teaching in the predoctoral and postgraduate didactic and clinical programs, scholarly activity that advances knowledge in the area of oral medicine and/or special needs dentistry, clinical consultations and clinical supervision in the College's Oral Medicine Clinic. Candidates at the Associate Professor level will be expected to have a record of research accomplishments including extramural funding. NYUCD offers opportunities to participate in a multidisciplinary clinical research center as well as an expanding basic science research program in oral cancer, biomaterials/tissue engineering and chronic oral diseases. In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.

Candidates should possess a DDS/DMD degree, advanced training and experience in Special Needs Dentistry. Certification by either the American Board of Oral Medicine or American Board of Special Care Dentistry and demonstrated excellence in treating patients with specialized healthcare needs (including developmental and physical disability and medical complexity) are preferred. Candidates must be eligible for a New York State dental license.
