The Department of Religion at Columbia University in the City of New York invites applications for the position of Jey Tsong Khapa Chair of Tibetan Buddhism at the rank of associate or full professor with tenure. Candidates are expected to have a strong grasp of classical Tibetan and relevant research languages.

Successful applicants will have a distinguished record in the academic study of religion and ability to contribute broadly to the department's undergraduate, graduate, and public-facing programs. In addition, it is expected that the chair holder will serve in a supervisory role at Columbia's Center for Buddhist Studies.
