INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) PROJECT COORDINATOR

We are excited to invite a passionate and experienced IT Project Coordinator to join our team! Homes for the Homeless (HFH) is searching for an IT Project Coordinator with a comprehensive understanding of technology infrastructure and support to serve as liaison with our IT Solutions and Services provider. This role is responsible for helping coordinate all aspects of the agency’s IT operations, including but not limited to hardware, software, and network systems, as well as overseeing the installation, maintenance, and support of these systems. The IT Project Coordinator will work closely with our contracted IT Solutions and Services provider to ensure that all IT systems function correctly and that issues are promptly addressed while providing exceptional customer service. The IT Associate is also responsible for maintaining and reconciling all relevant infrastructure and technology inventory and ensuring all employees have the necessary technology and resources to perform their jobs effectively.

(HFH) is a non-profit social services organization operating family shelters throughout NYC that serve as a hub of opportunity for families both residing in shelter as well as those in the neighboring community. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the primary point of contact between Homes for the Homeless and contracted IT Solutions and Services provider, facilitating clear and timely communication.

  • Maintain and update hardware and software inventory, ensuring accuracy for all IT assets across the organization.

  • Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to facilitate hardware tech purchases, such as headphones, keyboards, and other accessories for staff members.

  • Assist in the coordination of IT projects across all our facilities, ensuring successful execution within established timelines and budgets.

  • Act as liaison between the contracted IT Solutions and Services provider and executive team, translating technical terms to facilitate understanding and decision-making.

  • Provide training and support to staff members promoting efficient technology usage and knowledge of hardware and software.

  • Stay informed with emerging technologies and IT trends to identify opportunities for process improvement within the organization.

  • Assist in development and implementation of IT policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance and security across all systems and platforms.

  • Conducts regular audits of IT systems to ensure that they are functioning correctly and identifying areas for improvement.

  • Engage in minor troubleshooting of issues when computers, copiers, phone systems, or other technologies are not working as they should.

  • Manage the timely renewal of leases with IT, phone, and copier vendors, and submitting related invoices.

  • Collaborate with all HFH sites to identify IT needs, project requirements, and service expectations.

  • Track and report on IT projects, addressing any issues and areas for improvement.

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Proven experience in IT coordination, project management, or a related role.

  • Strong communication and management skills.

  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and technologies.

  • A proactive and creative approach to problem solving.

  • A no job is too small and collaborative approach to work.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

SALARY:

$50,000 - $55,000
