Advertised Summary Job Description The Financial Analyst performs a range of financial activities in support of the Libraries $27MM annual operating budget for Acquisitions (books, print serials, electronic resources,etc.).

Responsibilities include:

  1. Assist in the development and preparation of the Acquisitions annual operating budget.

  2. Develop and produce monthly and custom reports to support library collections purchasing decisions.

  3. Assist in monthly and year-end closing activities.

  4. Conduct monthly reviews and prepare quarterly Consolidated Operating Budget variance explanations for the University Controller and Budget Offices.

  5. Support library selectors and the collection development process by analyzing historical spending data for trends and patterns, participating in budget discussions, and preparing ad hoc reports as needed by the Collections Strategies Team.

Minimum Qualifications for Grade

Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant Bachelor's degree and at least two years of related financial experience required.

Special Instructions

Preferred Qualifications Financial experience in a university environment

Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Experience working with PeopleSoft Financials
