The Trustees of Columbia University in the City of New York Faculty - All Ranks of Radiology Cardiac/Chest Radiology in New York, New York

The Department of Radiology at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University Medical Center is seeking a full-time, fellowship-trained, cardiothoracic radiologist to join the Department of Radiology at our main campus in northern Manhattan. Our subspecialty-focused collaborative group interprets the full gamut of cardiothoracic imaging at our multiple inpatient and outpatient facilities in Northern Manhattan and Westchester.

Our ideal candidate would have strong interpretative skills in chest and cardiac CT and MRI including advanced applications. Strong interpersonal skills and a proven aptitude in dealing with other clinical teams are of great importance. Our radiologists also participate in our very active training program, teaching a group of 32 excellent residents who rotate through the division, as well as fellows and residents from other departments

Our thoracic imaging program includes an emphasis in oncological imaging, interstitial lung disease, cystic fibrosis and a busy lung transplant service. Cardiac CT and MR are performed covering all areas of cardiac pathology including structural heart disease, coronary imaging including FFRCT, non-ischemic cardiomyopathies, adult congenital heart disease, heart transplant, LVAD, and aortic imaging. Our team is integrated into the wider network of multidisciplinary specialists in pulmonary medicine, cardiology, and cardiothoracic surgery and oncology and participates in multiple multidisciplinary clinical conferences and tumor boards on a weekly basis. Clinical responsibilities include coverage of inpatient and outpatient diagnostic radiology services.

Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position requires a M.D. or D.O. Candidate must be board-eligible or certified in diagnostic radiology and must have completed fellowship training. Must be eligible to practice in the State of New York. Narcotics license desirable. Board certification is preferred.

Minimum Degree Required:

  • Medical Degree or equivalent

Minimum Qualifications:

  • ABR certified or eligible.
  • Eligible to practice in New York state
  • Able to meet credentialing requirements of the Medical Staff Office.
  • Narcotics license desirable
