The Department of Radiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center/New York-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a Division Chief for Breast Imaging who is passionate about clinical excellence, dedicated to education and mentorship, committed to the advancement of research and innovation, and who demonstrates a deep commitment to patient-centered care. The Division Chief oversees a dynamic and collegial group of physicians, fellows, and residents who provide breast imaging services in one of New York City's top hospital systems.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the expansion of our state-of-the-art breast imaging center which serves the Washington Heights community of New York City and partners closely with our surgical and oncological colleagues at the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center on the main campus of Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Our center is fully equipped with tomosynthesis, upright stereotactic biopsy, breast ultrasound, contrast enhanced mammography, and state of the art MRI.

Our ideal candidate will contribute to the strategic growth of the department's robust research program, which includes the development of a cutting-edge AI research program through our new Center for Innovation in Imaging Biomarkers and Integrated Diagnostics (CIMBID), led by Dr. Despina Kontos. Our breast imaging division also participates in the department's training program, teaching a group of 32 excellent residents who rotate through the division and leading the department's global health initiatives.

The Department of Radiology has 100 full time faculty on site and performs more than 800,000 imaging exams each year across New York City and Westchester County. Columbia University Irving Medical Center is one of the premier clinical and research institutions in the country. Its hospital, New York-Presbyterian, is ranked as one of the best in the country and one of the top in New York City. Columbia provides the best location to work in New York City with a very easy commute from anywhere on the west side of Manhattan or from any number of great towns/villages in the beautiful suburbs of northern New Jersey or Westchester and Rockland Counties in New York.

Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salary range is $350,000 - $550,000.00. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Minimum Degree Required:
Medical Degree or equivalent.

Minimum Qualifications:
-ABR certified or eligible.

-Eligible to practice in New York state

-Breast Imaging Fellowship

-MQSA Certification

-Able to meet credentialing requirements of the Medical Staff Office.
