Advertised Summary Job Description Under the supervision of the Director of Admissions and in collaboration with other members of the Enrollment Group, the incumbent will execute, maintain and enhance existing Enrollment Group processes, and recommend and implement new programs, business practices and procedures.

-Perform daily activities related to the regular maintenance and administration of the Group's data systems with a focus on the Admissions CRM (Technolutions Slate). This includes but is not limited to: assisting with the creation of data imports and exports processes; maintaining and updating queries and rules; troubleshooting issues across the system; and developing CRM best practices. Additional daily tasks include working with the Director of Communications to manage email campaigns and deliver a high volume of messages to contacts within the CRM. Other communication projects as required.

-Collaborate with members of the Enrollment Group, primarily with various Admissions teams as assigned by the Director, to identify and implement regular and annual improvements to admission processes. This involves identifying business processes that can be enhanced through creative solutions and developing technical improvements to workflow, efficiency, and security. The incumbent will connect with their counterpart in Financial Aid to research and propose information security policies. This involves ensuring that Columbia University, Columbia College and Columbia Engineering policies as well as regulatory guidelines are followed. A regular review of Enrollment Group members' security access to University systems and databases is also required. Consult with the Director to prioritize projects and enhancements.

-Create documentation of existing and new processes and maintain documents as updates are implemented and, with instruction from the Director of Admissions or other senior members of the admissions staff, create training manuals and instructions for staff. In addition, the incumbent will create, update, and maintain on an annual basis a detailed timeline of tasks and processes as it pertains to the role.

-Work with Admissions to identify and carry out approved data projects and reporting to enhance the effectiveness of admissions activities. Partner with Columbia College IT on data governance and compliance with Columbia College, Columbia Engineering and Columbia University policies and best practices.

-Research and learn new technologies and techniques that may assist in either enhancing a system's capabilities or improving office workflow efficiency. Attend conferences, classes and other appropriate professional development opportunities to aid in performing required position responsibilities.

-Perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications for Grade

Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent required. Minimum 2-4 years of related experience required.

Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant Experience with a CRM is required.

Special Instructions

Preferred Qualifications Experience with Slate Technolutions is strongly preferred. Experience with a university Student Information System (SIS) is beneficial. Experience with SAS, SQL, and HTML is advantageous.
