Advertised Summary Job Description Reporting to the Divisional Administrator, the Clinical Operations Analyst will support the clinical practice operations of the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care. The analyst will be responsible for the oversight of several initiatives and will serve as the liaison between the division and Physician Billing Services (PBS) and the Department of Medicine Budget and Finance team.

The Clinical Operations Analyst will review clinical FTEs and conduct month to month comparisons of clinical actuals per provider. S/he will be responsible for providing clinical revenue background and justifications as well as monthly reports to the Budget and Finance team as needed.

The analyst will provide analytical support and assistance with problem solving pertaining to revenue cycle statistics such as volume, payment, charges, and CPT-specific reimbursements. S/he will analyze rejection reports on a regular basis to identify rebilling and other projects, and will participate in regular meetings with the Senior Faculty Practice manager to ensure consistent application of new and revised billing policies.

The Clinical Operations Analyst will support the divisional administration by preparing business plan revenue assumptions, assisting with access to COGNOS and CDIS, and credentialing providers for Medicare and Medicaid. S/he will also serve as front/back end coverage when the need arises (i.e. vacation or otherwise). When needed, the coordinator is responsible for managing patient calls and complaints. The coordinator will ensure service excellence by carrying out respectful interactions with patients, staff, and visitors at all times. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications for Grade
