Psychologist/Social Worker Job Opening at Columbia University Irving Medical Center: Lieber Recovery Clinic


Position Titles: Associate in Clinical/Instructor/Assistant Professor level positions in the Department of Psychiatry at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC)

Job Description: The Department of Psychiatry is seeking a social worker or psychologist to work in the Lieber Recovery Clinic, which is a part of the Faculty Practice Organization at CUIMC. Candidates should be available to work as a multidisciplinary team member in an intensive outpatient group program for patients 18 and older with serious and persistent mental illnesses. Group therapy experience with psychotic and autism spectrum disorders is essential. Applicant should have knowledge of DBT, CBT and motivational interviewing techniques. Dedicated time to facilitate program development is available for candidates with leadership skills and background.

Minimum Educational Requirements:

MSW for social worker

PsyD or PhD in Clinical, Counseling or School Psychology

NYS license required

For psychologist, Instructor levels requires license in the State of New York. Assistant professor requires license in the State of New York and 2+ years of independent, post-training, clinical experience.
