Job Description

The Associate Director, Resource Management is ultimately responsible for identifying and placing the right talent on the right assignment at the right time. The Associate Director must possess a clear understanding of talent and resource needs across the agency on an evergreen basis, and work closely with Department Leads, Finance, and Human Resources to manage the process from initial need identification to placement to tracking and reporting on billability, allocations, and usage. The Associate Director, Resource Managment will also be focused on building/recommending tools and processes to streamline and scale resource operations both inside and outside the U.S.

Role Objectives:

Resource Management:

  • Establish processes for managing weekly cadence of resourcing activities, including: fielding inputs from a variety of contacts, publishing regular staffing reports/recommendations, gaining necessary approvals, and tracking/monitoring resourcing changes

  • Liaise between department leads, finance, Agency Solutions and HR to manage staffing process from request to talent planning/promotions/merits/onboarding

  • Attend departmental staffing meetings and weekly headcount meeting to facilitate staff movement and hiring

  • Play the role of Casting Director who understands the ins and outs of each person’s skill sets, strengths, weaknesses to appropriately map right talent (both internal and external) to the right (existing and new) business at the right time

  • Efficiently prioritize and communicate status of open needs based on revenue status, state of the business, and current staffing structure

  • Proactively works with other operations teams to identify work efficiencies and supports adoption of internal tools and resources to maximize utilization

  • Drive internal Mobility and cross-agency Fluid Talent

Executive Reporting:

  • Prepare ad hoc and regular reports/deliverables that support overall capabilities and talent management for executive team

  • Maintain tracking of assignments (Full-Time, Contractor, Project-Based, Task-Force)

  • Communicate trending and status of hiring by way of data management to inform current hiring and staffing success and/or challenges

  • Have an understanding of metrics related to the staffing function – billability, utilization, investment allocations and revenue & margin forecasts

  • Internalize broader Talent Management trending (attrition, high potential tracking, etc.)

Partnership and Collaboration:

  • Partner with internal clients in a positive, professional and constructive way; establish solid relationships

  • Possess ability to learn how to influence, make business recommendations, and pivot easily to alternative plans

  • Comfortable being accountable to multiple stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree, concentration in HR, business operations, marketing, or advertising preferred

  • Experience in a resource management role strongly preferred

  • Successfully worked in an operations role in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment

  • 4-6 years of project management experience in digital marketing, direct marketing or e-commerce, client and/or agency experience preferred

  • Proven success in delivering clear, strategic presentations to senior leadership/executives

  • High competency level in MS Office with strong working knowledge of Excel; experience with Power BI or Tableau is a plus

  • Able to work independently in a fast paced environment and balance multiple projects at the same time

  • Comfortable working in matrix organizational structure with accountability to more than one manager

Additional Information

Compensation Range: $91,000 - $144,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off. The Company anticipates the application deadline for this job posting will be 06/04/2024.
