Summary Description: The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a full-time clinician scientist to develop a research program in acute lung injury. Candidates are expected to have pulmonary and critical care clinical training and experience and research interests in mechanical ventilation and adult respiratory distress syndrome. The successful candidate is expected to develop a research program, teach fellows and residents on service, and attend in the Medical Intensive Care Unit.

Minimum Degree Required: M.D., Ph.D. or professional doctoral degree

Minimum Qualifications:

All applicants MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered for the position. All candidates must show promise for future development. Candidates must also have strong publishing and teaching future and some measure of academic/research or teaching independence from mentor .

Preferred Qualifications: Depending on the field of research and current needs for field and instructional coverage within the department, certain subspecialties may be preferred.
