New York University Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) in New York, New York

The Department of Psychology in the Faculty of Arts and Science at New York University seeks to hire one new faculty member in Social Psychology at the tenure-track assistant professor level. The appointment is expected to begin September 1, 2022, pending budgetary and administrative approval.

We seek applicants with an outstanding record of research in social psychology. While we are interested in scholars who study any topic within the field, we especially welcome applicants whose program of research includes advanced quantitative techniques and who have an interest in teaching statistics courses at the graduate level.

Applicants should arrange for a minimum of three professional letters of recommendation to be sent.

Applicants must solicit their letters of recommendation using Interfolio. Applicants can do this by clicking on the "additional documents" button in the "required documents" tab. Once the applicant clicks on the "additional documents" button , the applicant can click on the "request a recommendation" to send out the requests. The letters will automatically be linked to the applicant's application once the people who were solicited upload them using the instructions provided to them in the solicitation email.

An earned completed Ph.D. in Psychology from a reputable institution of higher education is required. The successful candidate should have a strong commitment to teaching excellence and the mentoring of students from a diverse global population.

The electronic application should include a CV, statements of research (no more than three pages) and teaching interests (no more than two pages), copies of no more than three representative publications, and at least three reference letters.
