The Trustees of Columbia University in the City of New York Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at CUMC in New York, New York

THE OPPORTUNITY

This opportunity to join the Department of Pediatrics at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons at the rank of Assistant Professor is an exciting one. Columbia University Irving Medical Center, one of the nation's foremost academic health science centers working together with one of the nation's premier health systems, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This new physician will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis and care of general pediatrics patients in the outpatient clinical practices of the NewYork-Presbyterian Ambulatory Care Network, and will see patients in a total of eight (8) clinical sessions each week. In addition, the physician will share after-hours phone coverage with the other team faculty, as required.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

* Must have a MD or DO degree and an active NYS Medical License

  • Must be Board certification in Pediatrics with a clinical training in pediatrics.
  • Consistently strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and sustain effective working relationships with professionals in other disciplines.
  • The ability to create a high-energy results-oriented work environment that encourages colleagues and staff to value each other's contributions.
  • The ability to share and celebrate success with colleagues and staff.

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
