The Trustees of Columbia University in the City of New York Assistant Professor of Neuropsychology (in Neurology) at CUMC in New York, New York

The Neuropsychology Service within the Department of Neurology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC), nationally renowned for research, clinical care, and education, is seeking a full-time pediatric neuropsychologist at the Assistant Professor level to provide comprehensive assessments to children and adolescents ages 5 to 18 years. The referrals will include a wide variety of neurological concerns with a large percentage of epilepsy referrals as well autoimmune, genetic, and other neurodevelopmental disorders. Outpatient service as well as inpatient consultations are included in the position, which serves a diverse clinical population. While clinical care will be the primary responsibility, CUIMC has a well-developed and integrated clinical research program. All clinicians can collaborate on research projects without the need to secure their own research funding. There are also many opportunities for teaching and supervision.


Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must have a doctoral degree in neuropsychology or clinical psychology from an APA accredited program with an APA accredited pre-doctoral internship and have completed a formal two-year postdoctoral fellowship or equivalent in clinical neuropsychology with a focus on pediatrics. Applicants should be licensed or license-eligible in the State of New York.

Candidates should be board-certified or eligible/in active pursuit for ABPP board certification in clinical neuropsychology and/or pediatric clinical neuropsychology; 2-5 years post training clinical experience and expertise in the assessment of pediatric patients is required. Training and experience with various neurodevelopmental and neurological conditions, with a strong emphasis on epilepsy is required. Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
