The Trustees of Columbia University in the City of New York Assistant Professor of Neurology (Tenure Track) in New York, New York

The Department of Neurology invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of neuropsychology. Post-doctoral scholars and Assistant Professors are encouraged to apply. This top-rated Department is a leader in research and clinical care.

Responsibilities: The new faculty member will have and maintain a strong research portfolio in one or more areas of sex and gender influences on cognition across the life course, including but not limited to cognitive aging among older adults and dementia. The candidate's research in neuropsychology should include consideration of structural, social, environmental, and biological mechanisms of sex and gender on cognitive function across the lifecourse, as well as the intersection of sex and gender with other exposures and experiences. Areas of expertise should include advanced psychometric and statistical methodologies required to address challenges in measurement, longitudinal analysis, and causal inference in this area of research. It is expected that the new faculty member will become an active collaborator on ongoing research projects on brain health inequalities and Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias, and training grants that focus on diversifying the field of cognitive aging research.


Applicants must have a strong record-relative to time-since-degree-of peer-reviewed publications, grant funding, demonstrated commitment to postdoctoral, graduate, and undergraduate mentorship, and community engagement. Qualifications include an earned doctorate in psychology, clinical psychology, neuropsychology, epidemiology, or other relevant discipline at the time of appointment.
