Columbia University's Department of Medicine invites applications for a non-tenure position at the assistant professor level. Candidates will have a strong record of research and publications. Candidates will be expected to sustain an active research and publication agenda and teach in the College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Ph.D. or professional doctoral degree.

All candidates must show promise for future development. Candidates must also have strong publishing and teaching future and some measure of academic/research or teaching independence from mentor.

Rank will be determined by the record of scholarly, research and teaching achievement and show secured distinction in their fields of specialization.

Depending on the field of research and current needs for field and instructional coverage within the department, certain subspecialties may be preferred.
