Position Summary

The Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking an organized and energetic individual who enjoys working collaboratively and being part of a growing team. Individual must juggle multiple projects with accuracy and possess strong sense of urgency and problem solving skills.


  • Provide administrative support to Vice Chair of Innovation, Site Supervisors at the Allen and Milstein Emergency Departments, and Physician Assistant Leadership.

  • Manage calendar, including coordinating and scheduling appointments, meetings, and conferences

  • Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, presentations, memos and emails

  • Assist faculty by compiling documentation for reimbursement and work collaboratively with Finance Coordinator

  • Coordinate and assist in gathering information for special projects using sound judgment in determining priorities

  • Ensure the environmental safety and maintenance of space and equipment; collaborate with Facilities to resolve any concerns

  • Screen incoming calls, emails, mail and visitors, and manage or redirect contacts and communications not requiring the immediate and personal attention of the leadership

  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner

  • Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence

  • Cross covers for other administrative staff and performs other duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in experience with at least two years of relevant administrative experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required and comfortable with new technologies and software.
