Candidates are expected to demonstrate a strong record of research productivity. Evidence of an established research program with transferrable external funding is required. Academic rank and appointment type (tenure track or tenured) will be commensurate with years of experience and accomplishments. The position provides opportunities for collaboration with investigators in the University of Minnesota Health Sciences including the schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, and Public Health. Candidates will have the opportunity to mentor and teach PhD, MD/PhD and medical students. Start-up funds and laboratory space are available. Clinician-Scientists are encouraged to apply. About the Department The in the University of Minnesota Medical School, in collaboration with the University of Minnesota , is seeking an accomplished basic scientist specializing in pain research to join a large, collaborative multidisciplinary community of researchers focused on pain and analgesia research. The ideal candidate is someone experienced in using state-of-the art approaches and whose work complements and expands on our existing research strengths.
