Position Overview The Genetic Testing Coordinator I is responsible for coordinating testing and communication between departments. The Genetic Testing Coordinator I will assist with the entire inventory of active tests throughout the testing process. Shift: Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 6:30pm with rotating Saturdays. Essential Duties Include, but are not limited to, the following: Ability to perform tasks per standard operating procedures including: Review all test requisitions for appropriateness of ordered testing and accuracy of data entry. Initiate testing for all accessions that have met prior approvals by ensuring the appropriate status is selected and necessary items created. Monitor the entire inventory of Active tests by handling cancellation and test changes requests. Document accessioning and previewing errors. Assist in managing communications through the department email account, chats, and applicable programs. Meet productivity and TAT expectations. Ability to follow set priorities for tasks and manage multiple items of the same task simultaneously. Maintain a high level of quality in all tasks. Ability to learn and follow the basic processing workflows for all clinical departments. Ability to identify problems, notify the supervisor, and describe the situation and the contributing factors. Support and comply with the company\'s Quality Management System policies and procedures. Receive and satisfactorily complete basic training on laboratory and applicable communications software and programs. Achieve and maintain competency of required tasks. Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and colleagues by using appropriate interpersonal skills.
