Division overview

Applied Technical Services Inc. (ATS) is a world-class, technologically advanced consulting and engineering firm with extensive testing and inspection capabilities with headquarters in Marietta, GA and over 40 branch offices scattered throughout the US. The Special Access Services Division primarily provides internal and external expert services of professional rope access, sUAS and ROV services.

Rope Access Level 3 Role and Responsibilities are as Follows:

Responsibilities include ( some may require additional training provided by ATS ):

  • Perform professional rope access labor on ATS projects.

  • Assist Senior Rope Access Level 3 in site supervision and project management.

  • Ability to be an assistant instructor within our training program.

  • Perform daily Competent Person equipment inspections.

  • Perform duties of a Level III SPRAT Rope Access worker in limited capacities, such as:

  • Multiple simultaneous projects.

  • Technical projects requiring complex rigging oversite.

  • Onsite training and oversite of lower level or less experienced technicians.

  • Project management and on-site safety complying with ATS standards and applicable codes.

  • Be a positive point of contact with ATS clients .

  • Perform inspections on suspended access and fall protection equipment in accordance with OSHA, ASTM, ISO, ANSI, IWCA and ASME requirements. (Additional training required)

  • Understand load-testing of anchors and suspended access equipment. (Additional training required)

  • Perform inspections on other equipment (as needed). (Additional training required)

  • Maintain applicable SPRAT III or IRATA III Certification for a minimum of 3 years.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

  • Willingness to work occasional night and weekend projects v/s normal day shifts.

  • Be team oriented and have a positive attitude.

  • Abide by all ATS policies and procedures.

  • Represent ATS in a positive manner.

    Position Development:

  • Work to expand rope access client base.

  • Assist with the improvement of the training program.

  • Assist in commercial rope access consulting development.
