Position Summary:The Management Information System (MIS) - Data Manager provides support to Fiscal Operations for Adoption & Foster Care Programs within the Child Welfare & Family Services division. Responsibilities to serve as the point person for State system of record “Connections” as it relates to training, and data entry tasks, including data reliability. The individualwill also provide system oversight, security coordination functions, and support to the peer data manager. This position requires a person who has strong analytical skills, a solid background in various Microsoft & fiscal software and is conscientious, well-organized, detail-oriented, and a team player.

Essential Duties: **

  • Understand and promote the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values to ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures.

  • Develop a proficient working knowledge of city/state software (i.e. CONNECTIONS, ACS Remote Access, and CARA systems) as well as in-house software (EVOLV).

  • Maintain a strong network system with the various state and city representatives on fiscal/data programs.

  • Security Coordinator for ‘Connections’, a state system of record for child welfare, oversees the assignment of security levels and rights.

  • Troubleshoot and assist in resolving access and other issues with state/city-shared computer sites.

  • Support staff with key data in Connections as it relates to tracking assignments and billing.

  • Liaison for Connections’ Activities and backup to peer MIS-Data Manager around in-house data system EVOLV.

  • Backup with the review and preparation of monthly financial statements and via city payment system SSPS.

  • Work collectively with fellow fiscal/data staff to ensure accurate data is collected and supported in Connections.

  • Create and Track staff enrollment/attendance in state system training for Connections applications.

  • Backup and support data documentation on clientele movements in both Connections and EVOLV.

  • Ensure closed case records of foster care programs are tracked and securely stored.

  • Assume (temporary) additional tasks for peers during their absence.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with a business focus; master’s preferred

  • At least two years of experience working within a business office environment

Key Competencies:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Excel, Word, and Outlook) with a basic understanding of computer software

  • Flexible, with excellent organizational skills, including ability to organize work, prioritize projects, and meet deadlines

  • Detail-oriented, with a high degree of accuracy

  • Basic knowledge of finance

  • Excellent customer service skills (i.e. phone manners, written and oral skills)
