U W-MADISON DIV. CONTINUING STUDIES GU Surgical Pathologist in MADISON, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is recruiting for an academic surgical pathologist. The successful candidate will be appointed as a member of the department at the Assistant/Associate/Professor level (non- tenure, academic CHS track) and will have responsibilities in genitourinary/ENT/endocrine service with a focus on GU pathology. The laboratory processes approximately 60,000 surgical specimens per year. In addition, the appointee will be given the opportunity to work closely with multi-specialty UW Comprehensive Cancer Center groups on collaborative clinical and translational research projects and to teach a variety of learners. The University of Wisconsin Medical Center is a tertiary care center with comprehensive programs in cancer and transplantation. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will sign-out clinical cases on the genitourinary/ENT/endocrine service with a focus on GU pathology. The successful candidate will teach medical students, residents, and fellows. The chosen applicant will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.
