University of Louisville Stewardship Specialist II (Assistant Director Donor Relations & Alumni Engagement) - College of Education & Human Development in Louisville, Kentucky

Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a related field and two (2) years of relevant experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Grade 6 (Salaried)Position Description:The Stewardship Specialist II (Assistant Director of Donor Relations & Alumni Engagement) will play a pivotal role in cultivating meaningful connections with donors, ensuring an unparalleled donor experience, and championing the overall advancement goals of the College of Education and Human Development (CEHD). This position involves seamlessly intertwining alumni engagement with development initiatives, ensuring a cohesive approach to cultivating philanthropic support for the university's growth and success. The Assistant Director will take charge of developing and overseeing the stewardship process and donor engagement initiatives while working collaboratively with the staff of the CEHD Development team, Office of Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement, faculty, and other members of the campus community. All job functions must be performed with a high degree of professionalism, including responsibility, initiative, creativity, dependability, human relations, cooperation, courtesy, and in compliance with Affirmative Action. A high level of personal and professional integrity is a must, along with the ability to communicate effectively and frequently with colleagues.Duties & ResponsibilitiesStewardship and Donor Engagement:Develop and implement stewardship strategies to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors.Develop and implement acknowledgment and recognition programs to express gratitude to donors at various giving levels.Create and manage personalized donor communication plans, ensuring timely and meaningful interactions.Collaborate with the Senior Director of Development to identify opportunities for donor engagement and recognition.Manage the scholarship award process, including coordination with academic departments and scholarship selection committees.Coordinate the creation and distribution of donor recognition materials and gifts.Support the planning and execution of events aimed at donor recognition and engagement.Collaborate with the events team to ensure seamless coordination of donor-related activities, both virtual and in-person.Assist in the creation of compelling materials, such as impact reports and success stories, to share with donors.Prospect Identification and Discovery:Conduct research on potential donors, identifying individuals or organizations with an affinity for supporting the College of Education & Human Development.Work closely with the research team to gather insights and create profiles that inform personalized donor engagement strategies.Collaborate with the Data Analytics team to leverage data for strategic decision-making in donor engagement.Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and other avenues to enhance the discovery process and deepen understanding of donor interests and preferences.Alumni Relationship Management:Develop and maintain strong relationships with alumni through various communication channels, events, and initiatives.Collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities for alumni involvement in university programs, events, and volunteer opportunities at the University.Implement insights gained from alumni interactions to refine and enhance fundraising strategies.Organize and coordinate alumni-focused events with dual purposes of engagement and fundraising.Collaborate with event planning teams to seamlessly blend alumni experiences with fundraising opportunities.Plan and execute innovative fundraising campaigns that integrate alumni participation as a central component.Develop compelling narratives that highlight alumni success stories and the impact of philanthropy on the university community.Collaborate with alumni to uncover shared interests and align their passions with strategic university initiatives.Administrative Support:Provide administrative support to the Senior Director of Development and the broader development team.Assist in the preparation of reports, proposals, and other materials for donor meetings and presentations.Preferred QualificationsPreferred experience in non-profit fundraising or higher education.
