Description

The Department of Anesthesiology is seeking to hire a dedicated Student Affairs Officer to support their team. In this role, the candidate will serve as a crucial pillar of support for the Residency Program Manager and Coordinator. Your responsibilities will span a diverse array of tasks within the Anesthesiology Residency program, encompassing the coordination of resident rotations and management of documentation for all affiliate hospitals. Moreover, in this role, you will provide robust and comprehensive administrative support to the program directors, ensuring the program's continued success and excellence.

Target hourly rate: $25.95-$54.50Qualifications

Required:

  • Skill in planning and organizing complex materials and information efficiently, skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner when there are changes in workload, changes in assignments, pressures of deadlines, competitive requirements and heavy workload.

  • Ability to utilize appropriate interpersonal skills to interact effectively with faculty, residents, students, campus and hospital departments and outside agencies. Ability to speak effectively to persons of various social, cultural, economic or educational backgrounds, using appropriate vocabulary and grammar to obtain information explain policies and procedures, provide information, or resolve conflicts.

  • Demonstrated writing skills to compose logical, detailed, comprehensive, and grammatically correct correspondence, procedures, and reports.

  • Ability to work effectively and accurately with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clinical faculty, house staff, and medical student to provide guidance to basic policies and procedures, answer inquiries, and obtain information.

  • Ability to function effectively as a team member, establish and maintain cooperative, professional, courteous, and collaborative working relationships with all departmental personnel, University representatives, house staff, and medical students.Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.

  • Ability to work effectively with multiple supervisors.

  • Ability to develop and provide resource information with respect to house staff and medical student training programs.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and by exercising good judgment.

  • Ability to analyze data and to display data using tables, charts, and graphs.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases (WordPerfect, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) to prepare correspondences and reports.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of University personnel policies and procedures.

  • Ability to manage and monitor online systems such as MedHub, Qgenda, ACGME ADS, ABA RTID, ERAS, SF Match, and NRMP.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of ERAS, ACGME, MedHub, QGenda, and other programs utilized by the residency/fellowship.
