UCLA Health Administrative Assistant III, Respiratory Therapy in Los Angeles, California

Responsibilities

include but are not limited to:

*

Provide Administrative support for the Respiratory Therapy Department.

*

Schedule meetings, and appointments, via telephone and/or the computer

*

Answer and screen incoming phone calls to the

department

*

Sort and distribute departmental mail

*

Word process correspondence

*

Create spreadsheets using Excel

*

May be responsible for general errands, duplication services, and other

duties as needed by the assigned department

*

Compose, draft, and edit, business correspondence as designated.

Salary range: $28.23 - $40.44 Hourly

Qualifications

*

Experience working in a Healthcare Environment

*

High School Graduate with one-year related

college courses.

*

Good mathematical skills to perform basic

bookkeeping transactions and balance funds.

*

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely,

both verbally and in writing.

*

Skill in systematically organizing material and

information to optimize efficiency and minimize duplication of effort with the

use of available computer technology.

*

Ability to use a variety of computer devices and

software applications, including but not limited to MS Office, HBOC billing

system, and UCLA Healthcare Systems.

*

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative

working relationships with co-workers, staff, students, and other medical

personnel staff.

*

Typing skills to prepare forms, reports, and

memos with speed and accuracy.

*

Knowledge of Medical Terminology

*

Ability to interact professionally with a

diverse population of patients, visitors, family members, and staff.

*

Sensitivity to confidentiality issues concerning

patients, employees, and families, with a commitment to complying with the

confidentiality policies at all times (ON AND OFF DUTY).

*

Ability to provide service excellence,

simultaneously promoting customer satisfaction, and quality care and creating a

positive progressive, and friendly environment throughout the entire UCLA

Healthcare Enterprise.

*

Associate degree is Desired
