Payroll and Benefits Coordinator

Full Time Contract: Duration 12 months to start

Location: Hybrid in London. The expectation is to go into the office at least twice or three times a week.

The Team and Job Summary

We are seeking a Payroll and Benefits Coordinator (not a specialist) to augment our UK and Europe HR & Payroll operations. From a Total Rewards perspective, the role is best described below.

Job Responsibilities

The role works to ensure every employee receives their salary on time and that it's accurate. To achieve this, they would need to act as the liaison between the finance and human resources departments and require strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills. They are expected to:

  • Administer and monitor payroll inputs including new hires, changes of rates, leaves, benefits, taxes, and exits as well as other details.

  • Inform employees about the nature of benefits plans, enrol them, and advise of any changes to the structure of those benefits.

  • Maintain regular communication with insurance providers.

  • Receive, monitor, and pay service provider invoices.

  • Provide ongoing support for the HR and benefits teams.

  • Ensure that the firm’s benefits policy is compliant with the set laws and regulations.

  • Organize employee records.

  • Develop subject matter presentations such as gap analyses and write information guides to aid employee understanding of new benefits packages and changes to the enrolment process.

  • Bespoke reporting including distribution of semi-monthly and monthly payroll reports to applicable departments, ensuring compliance and reporting.

    Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate is the one who has experience in administering and delivering payroll in a fast-paced and multi-national environment. They also need to demonstrate familiarity with benefits and payroll software systems. Familiarity with the UK payroll system (PAYE) and compliance reporting is a must, and any knowledge of Bamboo/Sage/ADP is a bonus.

  • Exceptional writing, communication, and collaboration skills to be able to interact with many levels within the organization.

  • Flexibility to work across time zones globally.

  • Exceptional organizational skills which include an ability to multitask and be process oriented with excellent time management skills.

  • Must have proficiency in MS Office, specifically: Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Ability to work under strict deadlines.

  • Responsible for compliance with payroll practices and policies.

  • Bespoke projects and reports, as needed.

  • Ability to mould previous experience into a global experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Any certifications related to the role.

    Physical and Mental Job Qualifications

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is £34,000 - £37,000 . Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
