position summary:

Supports the Product Operations Manager directly with all things related to the NIS (New Item Setup) process and reports being used internally across other departments. Assist the Product Operations team for all Product-Based functions within Product Management.

  • Gather and enter relevant information into the NCC to ensure timely and accurate set up of all new products, including Fine Writing/Namiki and Pilot IS.
  • Support the setup of additional packs and displays (CMRs) based on input from Sales.
  • Create Item Numbers and UPCs for new products through alignment with the Product Operations Manager.
  • Enter New Item Setup forms data into AS400 for new items, trouble shoot and overcome issues and concerns in partnership with Sales and other core teams.
  • Prepare Marketing Action Notices (MANs) which represent changes to existing products for ongoing product management needs and maintain the MAN log.
  • Ensure accurate and timely distribution of internal and sales field product-related communications including product memos, NIS (NIRF) Log, MAN log.
  • Enter new product information into the GS1 (One World Sync) and initiate regular maintenance of previously entered product details. Work with Creative Services for up-to-date product images.
  • Creates and distributes the Active/Discontinue Product lifecycle communications across the organization. Track Active/Discontinue/Suspended items including quarterly status updates with Purchasing. Maintain and distribute the log as needed.
  • Assist in producing necessary reports for the Product Operations Manager related to Product and Packaging Updates, Product Lifecycle and Brand Roadmap.
  • Produce the New Product Fact Sheet for all new products coming from HQ as well as new/updated packaging produced at PCA. Coordinate new image needs with Creative Services.
  • Organize SLOB information to support product movement before items are fully reserved in inventory.
  • Perform retail store checks, summarize observations and procure competitive samples as requested.
  • Assist with other projects in support of Product related initiatives as needed, including sample order requests.

education and experience requirements:
