Job Summary:

Assist Corporate Asset Manager with daily tasks to meet shop needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must have extensive knowledge and ability to negotiate best vendor terms, pricing, and delivery based on specific budget and schedule requirements.

• Thorough working knowledge of company purchasing policies, processes, and procedures.

• Must be organized and have excellent attention to detail.

o Manage the low and high voltage gloves program to include all region offices.

o Maintain a list of team member glove assignments, specific glove expiration dates, and rotation of team member gloves on a semiannual basis.

• Ensure all expired gloves are returned and disposed of in a proper a manner.

• Help with organization of registrations and plates for Premier Power vehicles.

• Manage the return of broken equipment back to repair sites. Getting Quotes, tracking the repair, and the return of equipment.

• Gather and assign safety equipment for new hires.

• Help assist with Asset tracking and calibration of equipment.

• Operate specialized equipment, forklift, scissor lift, and man lift when needed.

• Help to maintain shop cleanliness and order. Organizing places for equipment and general cleaning of the shop.

• Plan and preform basic building maintenance and repairs, misc. jobs, and handyman work as needed.

• Help maintain stock room levels and reporting the levels to procurement for reordering and restocking.

• Help with receiving incoming deliveries, at times using a forklift to unload a truck.

• Occasionally work in the field during large outages.

• Occasionally deliver test equipment to technicians out in the field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must be organized and have excellent attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently while utilizing excellent judgement.

• Must be able to see jobs through to the end.

• Must have intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, email, internet, etc.

Work Environment:

• Must be willing to relocate within 60 miles of Premier Power Maintenance’s Corporate office in Indianapolis, IN.

• Corporate business hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm, but depending on the scope of works hours outside of business hours may be required.

• Must be willing to take calls and travel outside the scope of normal business hours.

Education and Work Experience:

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED.

• Three years of similar experience is required.

• Able to follow company safety rules and practices.

• Mechanically inclined background preferred.

Other Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, education verification, motor vehicle report, physical abilities test, an approved hair and urine drug screen, as well as periodic, unannounced random testing.

• Must have a valid driver’s license and must have or be willing to obtain an endorsement to operate a combined vehicle weight up to 26k lbs. CDL license preferred.

• Must be able to lift and maneuver at least 50 lbs.

• Must be willing to obtain a company paid TWIC, OSHA 10 hour, NFPA 70-E, Fork Lift Training, and CPR training.
