I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains, inventories and restocks medical supplies and equipment to the Medical Center. Performs duties in accordance with policies, procedures and guidelines of the department, Medical Center and regulatory agencies.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

Continuous: lifting – 3 to 10 lbs (floor to knuckle, knuckle to shoulder, shoulder to overhead), standing, walking, forward reaching, grasping, handling, fingering, seeing, hearing, speaking. Frequent to continuous: bending, squatting, stooping, crouching. Frequent: twisting, side bending, overhead reach, pushing and pulling 30-50psi, lifting – 10 to 35 lbs (floor to knuckle, knuckle to shoulder, shoulder to overhead), carrying up to 35 lbs. Occasional – sitting, stair climbing, kneeling, pushing and pulling 80-100psi on carpet/ramp, lifting – 50 lbs (floor to knuckle, knuckle to shoulder), lifting – 40 lbs (shoulder to overhead), carrying 50 lbs. Machines, tools and work aids: Large unit carts, storage shelves, wagons, razor to rip plastic covers, blue totes, hand trucks, pallet jack/lift, gloves, hair net, computer systems, telephone, labeling gun.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS :

Exposed to both inside (approximately 90%) and outside environmental conditions, noise and/or vibrations from telephones. Minimal exposure to body fluids, detergents and chemicals. Some exposure to dust from materials in crates.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A. Education:

1.Ability to read, speak, write and understand English.

2.High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

B. Experience:

1.Prior hospital experience with medical/surgical and distribution preferred.

2.Prior customer service experience preferred.
