SUMMARY OF POSITION :

Provide comprehensive high quality care to Pediatric Pulmonary patients as part of the Inpatient Pediatric Pulmonary service. Will be responsible for clinically assessing and examining and reviewing EMR, writing notes, entering orders, arranging discharges, and rounding. This position will see patients in the PIMCU, NICU, and on the floor. This position is mostly inpatient with a once-a-month outpatient clinic session to see 2-4 post-hospital patients for follow-up. This position will be 10 hours each day four times a week Monday – Friday, dayshift only. No weekends and no major holidays. This position will take call every other Thursday. When one of the Advanced Practice Providers is off that week the other APP will work 8 hours each day five times a week Monday – Friday, dayshift only.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Masters Degree in Nursing with clinical specialization required.

• Two years work experience as a RN required.

• Current licensed to practice as a CRNP by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required.

• Must have demonstrated effective skills in consultation. Certification as an NP in the area of practice specialization is preferred.
