Candidates with expertise in conservation biology and applications to Geographic Information Systems are encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will contribute to a highly interdisciplinary academic unit that includes environmental scientists, biologists, chemists, physicists, and geoscientists. They will also be supporting the expansion of a newly created Collaborative Online M.S. Program in Biodiversity Conservation and Management. This position will be responsible for enhancing UW-Green Bay\'s mission-driven inclusive teaching efforts and creating and maintaining an educational environment that acknowledges, encourages, and celebrates those with diverse identities, beliefs, and cultural backgrounds. This position includes the following responsibilities: - Teach asynchronous, online courses in the Biodiversity Conservation and Management M.S. program. Specific responsibilities will depend on candidate\'s area of expertise. - Teach upper and lower-level courses within undergraduate Biology and Environmental Science programs, including face-to-face, field, seminar, and lab options. Specific assignments include GIS-based courses. - Average course load across all programs would be 21 contact hours per year. - Implement inclusive instructional strategies to increase support for students from underrepresented and first-generation backgrounds at UW-Green Bay - Develop a strong research program involving collaboration with students, faculty. - Advise and mentor students. - Perform scholarly activities consistent with rank. - Perform institutional and community service. - Contribute to ongoing program development. ABD candidates will be hired into a terminal appointment at the rank of Instructor with a rate determined at the time of hire.
